When I decided to take my vertical training seriously in order to dunk a basketball I had decided between vert shock and jump manual which I ended purchasing both.
After going through both programs, I had clearly been able to tell what program the edge had on the other here is why.
What is Jump Manual?
What is Vert Shock?
Presentation: Jump Manual
The Jump Manual stands out for its comprehensive approach to understanding the mechanics of vertical jumping, offering a wealth of knowledge on the subject.
However, it’s evident that the program’s presentation hasn’t kept pace with modern digital standards. Created in 2008, its age is most apparent in the video content quality, which is noticeably outdated.
The clips, often featuring Jacob Hiller speaking to a webcam, lack the polished look we’ve come to expect from current media.
Given that even budget smartphones today can produce far superior video, the visual aspect of the Jump Manual could certainly benefit from an update to meet contemporary expectations for a more engaging user experience.

Vert shocks workouts contain plyometric exercises which convert to vertical improvement tremendously.
Vert shocks workouts are equal if not better than jump manuals and are much safer and with easier access.

Vert Shock is typically listed at $138 but you can get if for $67 here.
The Jump Manual is a bit more expensive at $97. This makes Vert Shock cheaper by 30 dollars.
Conclusion
Vert Shock seems to have the edge on Jump Manual; however, Jump Manual is not a bad program by any means but in the overall comparability I would put Vert Shock above Jump Manual.
